Free plugin season is in full swing. Slate Digital has launched the Complete Access Free Collection, a bundle of 16 plugins from four brands: Slate Digital, Solid State Logic (SSL), Harrison Audio, and sonible. Slate says the plugins are yours to keep forever, with no purchase, no trial period, and no iLok dongle or iLok account required.

The collection went live on October 15, 2026, and runs on macOS and Windows in VST3, AU (macOS), and AAX formats.

What's in the free collection

A handful of these were already free, including Heatwave, puffer:fish, and Harrison's 3D Delay. According to Bedroom Producers Blog, seven previously paid effects are now part of the free set: Dyno Mite, Tape Saturator, GateVerb, Air & Earth EQ, FG-Bomber, Submerge, and VBC FG-Red. Here's the full list.

From Slate Digital:

  • Virtual Mix Rack, the modular rack host for building your own channel strip (the rack itself, not the paid modules).
  • Revival, for shimmer on the highs and thickness on the lows.
  • Trimmer, a simple gain trim that works inside VMR or on its own.
  • Monster, a classic "all-buttons-in" style compressor.
  • Heatwave, one-knob, transient-preserving saturation.
  • Fresh Air, smooth high-end air without harshness.
  • Submerge, automatic sidechain ducking and pumping without any DAW routing.
  • VBC FG-Red, a punchy mix bus compressor modeled on the classic RED.
  • FG-Bomber, an analog-modeled impact enhancer for punch and depth.
  • Air & Earth EQ, two-band tone shaping for highs and lows.

From Solid State Logic:

  • X-Orcism II, a "haunted voice" effect combining pitch, delay, reverb, and noise.
  • GateVerb, a non-linear gated reverb for punchy drums and big spaces.

From Harrison Audio:

  • 3D Delay, three adjustable delay taps with panning, feedback, and filtering.
  • Tape Saturator, two-track tape character from subtle glue to heavy saturation.
  • Dyno Mite, a transient shaper for attack and sustain.

From sonible:

  • puffer:fish, playful saturation with three characters, from warm to unhinged.

The newly free highlights

The previously paid tools are the real draw here. GateVerb handles the big '80s gated drum reverb sound, and it can sync the gate hold and pre-delay to your project tempo, duck the reverb from a sidechain, and add bit-depth and sample-rate reduction for grit.

Submerge is a quick way to get sidechain-style pumping without routing a kick into a compressor. It follows your project tempo or MIDI and audio triggers, and it can animate EQ shelves, resonant filters, and sample-rate reduction as well as volume, including different ducking on the mid and side channels.

VBC FG-Red brings a RED-style bus compressor with a Drive control for output-transformer color, a sidechain high-pass filter to stop bass-triggered pumping, and a Mix knob for parallel compression. FG-Bomber combines transient processing, compression, and saturation with Present, Fat, and Tight modes.

On the Harrison side, Tape Saturator models two-track tape with five fidelity settings and six tape speeds, plus optional wobble, dropouts, and hiss. Dyno Mite reshapes drum transients with a single Sustain control, giving sharper attacks below zero and longer tails above it. Air & Earth EQ borrows the high and low filters from Eiosis AirEQ, pairing a high-frequency boost with a HiCut filter and low-end shaping with a LoCut.

How to get it

You'll need a free Complete Access account. After a $0 checkout, you install the plugins through the Complete Access Hub app, either all at once or one by one, and there's nothing to activate. Offline installers are also available for studio computers without internet access.

If you already had some of these plugins installed, Slate's support documentation says versions released before October 15, 2026 still use an iLok license, so update to the latest versions to drop that requirement. Existing Complete Access subscribers already have all 16 plugins in their plan.

For anyone building a mixing toolkit on a budget, this is one of the strongest free bundles of the year. You can claim it on the Slate Digital Complete Access Free Collection page.
